| The above mentioned girl R. Shobika was living with her parents and a sister in a small tile roofed house. The rented house’s roof is not in a proper condition which leads to exposure of sun and rain. R. Shobika’s father is working as a driver in a town 200 kilometers away from home. He use to come home once in a month. He does not give money to run the family. He just provides some groceries to his family which is not sufficient to feed the family for a month. Moreover he is addicted to alcohol. R. Shobika’s mother is a house wife and she is struggling to run the family. | Shobika is a very active girl studying in 4th standard. Her lovingly socializing habit draws her lot of friends. She is a very obedient girl and regular to school. She likes very much to play hopscotch with her friends together. Her ambition is to become a Pilot.
In this situation her mother came to know about Valarkuzhanthai Trust and its services to the children especially to the girl children. Hence her mother approached and explained the situation of the family and the aspiration of the girl R. Shobika. We assured her to provide support and ensured the girl’s education and guaranteed for the bright future of the child. Accordingly we accommodated the girl in Valarkuzhanthai home. She is studying well and has scored good grade marks in the recent examination. Our main aim is to provide free education to the abandoned girls and provide a platform to achieve their goal. Accordingly we are providing free educational requirements, hostel facilities and fulfill the needs of R. Shobika. Still we have to travel many more years with the child till she settles in her life.
