What We Do
It’s been more than a decade of Tsunami’s devastation while we were observing in the Nagapattinam district. Yet we identified unhealed wounds created by the devastation in Nagapattinam district. We identified the tsunami victim’s children living parentless or living with single parent as well as we observed larger portion of children not having access to school and malnutrition because of the poor economic background.
In 2015 we started ‘Valarkuzhanthai’ the home for deserted and destitute girl children in Tiruvidaikazhi village, Tranquebar of Nagapattinam district. The children are getting access to school from Valarkuzhanthai. Valarkuzhanthai provides accommodation, food, clothing and protection apart from caste and creed. Currently 101 children are in Valarkuzhanthai’s cuddle.
